Your data on Waiver Wars

When you create a fan profile, Waiver Wars saves your email address, favorite team and marketing preference. Your saved roster, watchlist and completed mock drafts are linked to that profile.

Where it is stored

The website and its database run on Railway. A browser cookie recognizes your fan profile. When email delivery is enabled, you can verify your address with a single-use sign-in link and access the same profile on another device. Verified browser sessions last up to 30 days and can be revoked from Your account. Older unverified profiles remain browser-specific until verified.

Sign-in emails

Requested sign-in links are sent through Resend when the email service is connected. Links expire after 15 minutes, work once and require confirmation on the website. Login emails are separate from marketing. Temporary sign-in request records are cleared after expiry during subsequent sign-in activity. Email access allows recovery of the profile associated with that address.

Email preferences

Creating a profile does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Marketing consent is recorded only when you select the updates option. Campaign sending is not connected yet.

Anonymous traffic measurement

We count page visits using a random first-party browser cookie that lasts up to 30 days. Traffic records contain a hashed browser identifier, page category, date and referral domain. They are not linked to your email or fan profile. We do not store full referral URLs, search terms or IP addresses in the analytics database. Traffic records are retained for 90 days.

You can switch off anonymous analytics for this browser below. We also honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Turning analytics off stops future recording; it does not delete earlier aggregate records.
